From this point there is a choice of purpose made
footpaths with no steep inclines making this possibly the easiest forest
walking in Scotland, wheelchair and pram friendly! with many of the new
additional features within easy reach. |

Bronze Age Hut
Replica of course but an interesting feature, a
glimpse of the past as it probably was in the bronze age. This pictured left is
just over five minutes walk from the car park. |

The Paths
This section of footpath pictured left displays
the quality of the footways (no need for boots or wellies) is interspersed with
sections of slightly raised boarded footway which is fenced on both sides with
wider sections including picnic sites. |

Bird Watching Hide
This excellent building is ideally situated at
the end of a boarded section of footway overlooking Loch Laide giving a
splendid scenic view and the opportunity to see the loch's wildlife undisturbed

The Sheiling
The summer home used by highland crofters/farmers
enabling them to look after cattle and or sheep are grazing the higher pastures
far away from their family home

Wildlife Sounds
Placed at strategic points along walkways and at
sites of particular interest are carved wooden plaques depicting animals, birds
or insects with an audio button inviting visitors to press and hear their
calls. |
