In the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Astana, law enforcement officers stopped illegal activities of an underground gambling establishment. This was reported by the Economic Investigation Service of the Department of State Revenue of Kazakhstan.

The illegal gambling business was reportedly located in a cafe-billiard room at 7/1 Abylaikhan Avenue. 13 poker players and the owner of an underground casino were detained at the scene. Special forces were involved in the operation. Now the materials of this case are in court.

Also, on August 17 and 24, employees of the Economic Investigation Service identified 55 more points in Astana where illegal gambling activities were carried out. 90 slot machines were found and seized, which are in the warehouse before the court’s decision. All gaming devices will be destroyed after the judgment has been issued.
